I recently read a good article on corporate strategy:
"The Corporate Scorecard: Making the Whole Greater Than the Sum of the Parts" by David P. Norton.
The article provides a few good examples and case studies relating to different corporate strategies in multi-business-unit organizations. It discusses how the corporation strategy needs to create synergies between it's business units and support units.
